I got some "Bloc de foie gras" from a friend when she went to Europe and here is how I served it...
French Toast with Caramelized Apples & Foie Gras Pate

French Toast Recipe
batter - egg (beaten), milk, salt, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon
bread of choice - sliced
Melt butter in a skillet or pan, soak bread in batter;
Fry until brown on both sides.
Caramelized Apples Recipe
apples - peeled, cored, and sliced into rings
Melt butter in skillet or pan, add apples, and sprinkle with sugar;
Saute apples, stirring frequently until tender;
Sprinke more sugar, ground cinnamon, and add lemon juice.
I simply added the foie gras on the center!
