FOTD: Bright Eyes Feat. My Fave White Eyeliner

MAKEUP USED EYES Urban Decay Primer Potion as base MAC 'White Frost' eyeshadow on lid MAC 'Phloof' on inner corner L'Oreal Lineur Intense Eyeliner in 'Carbon' Chanel Le Crayon Kohl in Blanc on waterline Imju FiberWig Mascara (another fave) Milani Browfix LIPS OCC 'Grandma' Lip Tar FACE Missha M BB Cream Smashbox Halo in Light Nars 'Deep Throat' Blush <>oOo<> I think I found my HG white eyeliner... Chanel Le Crayon Kohl Intense Eye Pencil in 'Blanc' #65 $27 chanel.com
I was browsing thru a fashion magazine when I saw the model wearing the bright eyes look. The model was wearing the same Chanel white eyeliner. I particularly like this one because of the subtle look it gives especially when you smudge it. It stayed all day too. It's matte compared to my Urban Decay white eyeliner which is more on the shimmery side. UD vs Chanel
As featured on Elle magazine... Zoom in pix to see how it's not a harsh white on the waterline. Very soft look. Click photo to enlarge
If you have doubts on trying white eyeliner, Michell Phan, my fave beauty guru, recommends Stila Kajal Eyeliner in Topaz (apricot nude). A peachy color which gives a more natural bright eyed look for those with darker skin tone. I might get it next time. ***

NOTD: Louboutin Nails Feat. Knock Out Nail Polishes

ITEMS USED: Knock Out 'Flatte Top' as base/top coat Knock Out 'Karen' on the underside of nails Knock Out 'Flatte Black' on top of nail I've been wanting to do the Louboutin mani eversince I saw this ad...
Too bad I can't keep my brittle nails this long. This is as close as I can get to Christian Louboutin shoes ;) I can drop major $ on designer bags...but not on shoes. *** MATTE NAILS I was bloghopping when I saw a post about these Knock Out polishes. I then remembered I ordered some back in March of this year but never received them. The price was $22 each back then (now it's $19). I must have been pretty occupied to forget about those. I immediately e-mailed their customer service asking for re-shipment or refund eventhough there's no guarantee they'll respond since it's been almost 5 months. They replied the same day apologizing and promising they will include free polishes to make up for it (i only got 2 extras, but still!). I was very pleased with their great customer service. Without further ado... Knock Out Nail Polishes $19 each (16.5 ml/0.56 fl oz) koknockout.com Click photos to enlarge

Starts flatte (matte) and wears into satin after a few hours. Keep using with 'Flatte Top' to re-flatten your nail polish and extend the matte look.
In case you're wondering, it looks nice with regular glossy top coat too. PROS:
  • perfect for fall
  • matte look stays for hours unlike other brands of matte polishes
  • bigger compared to regular sized polish - u pay more but u get more product
  • great customer service
CONS:
  • expensive if u have limited budget
  • takes time to dry because of thicker consistency
  • few color selection
  • not all people dig matte look
VERDICT: Note that I got KO back in March...meaning the other brands' matte collections are non-existent then so I have nothing to compare it with except for Man Glaze which is not really matte because it has tiny glitters. I suggest you check out cheaper alternatives first. KO's price really turned me off. I noticed Sephora by OPI got great color selection for their matte collection. I wonder though if the matte's staying power is as good as KO's. You can also just get KO's FLATTE TOP and use it with regular polishes. I like it better than Orly's Matte Top. If you have any suggestions for good matte polishes, lemme know! Thanks lovelies! imma leave you with this most recent pic of me and my bF. It's our 4.4 anniversary tomorrow! ***

Shills Dust it Magic Hair Fully Powder VS. OSiS+ Dust it Mattifying Powder

Shills Dust it Magic Hair Fully Powder $28.00 + Free Shipping Ebay Seller: beautyshop2008 30 ml/1.0 oz.of. Made in Taiwan
Instruction is on the box:
Do not pour directly on scalp!!! Good thing I read this first. I guess you can pour directly on roots but i prefer to sprinkle it on my hand first to control the amount of product. Here's what the white powder looks like...looks like 'coke' lol! PROS:
  • gives your hair volume in no time w/o teasing or blow drying
  • a little product goes a long way
  • seems to control oil
CONS:
  • pricey
  • hard to find, product shipped from Taiwan
  • ingredients listed in Taiwanese (translator please!)
  • makes your hair a little sticky
*** Schwarzkopf OSiS+ Dust it Mattifying Powder From $8.95 + Free Shipping The ebay seller i got it from doesn't have it anymore. Check from other sellers. 0.35 oz/10g Made in Germany Ingredients: Water, Silica Silylate, Sodium Benzoate, Octylacrylamide/Acrylates/Butylaminoethyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Citric Acid PROS:
  • cheaper compared to Shills Dust it
  • does the same job in giving hair a boost
  • easier to find online (US seller available)
CONS:
  • stickier than Shills Dust it
  • might be hard to remove if you put too much product (need a good shampooing)
VERDICT: Just get OSiS+ since it's cheaper. Both products give the same hair volumizing effect anyway. BEFORE AND AFTER PICS...
I'm sure you can make ur hair more poofy than this. Just add more product. ***

Ebay Haul (Asian Beauty Items)

I just purchased these items from ebay. I can't wait to get and review them! 1) Fringe Styling Clip For perfect side swept look for those stubborn bangs like mine. 2) Cele-Up Hair Inserts For princess style hair. Asian version of Bumpits (which i already have). From the photo, the difference is that it's wider and has longer gripping teeth compared to Bumpits. 3. Shills Dust-it Magic Hair Powder For volumizing fine limp hair like mine. I read good reviews about this. We'll see. 4) Schwarzkopf OSiS Dust-it Mattyfying Powder Another hair volumizing powder that's cheaper than Shills Dust-it Powder. This is easier to find online than Shills. I got both to compare which is better. Check out demo video below: 5) Nail Polish Protector To protect freshly painted nails. I wanna give props to fellow beauty blogger SUMMER for inspiring me to get items #3 and 5. ***

NOTD: Multi-Colored Nails (Lauren Conrad Inspired)

I got the inspiration from Lauren Conrad as featured in the current People Style Watch mag... I initially liked the idea, tried to replicate it but the outcome didn't really appeal to my taste. I ended up doing two alternating colors instead. It looked better this way (in my opinion)... Nail polishes used... Would you wear multi-colored nails? ***
